Spooky, but Make It Organized
Spooky Compass was created to make planning a spooky day easier. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m building it out fast and furious (after my 9–5) so there’s one place that pulls all the eerie experiences together.
What Makes a Place Spooky?
You might be asking yourself, what makes a place spooky? And let me tell you, back when I didn’t need to explain it to anyone else, it was all vibes, but ever since I turned my personal to-visit list into a public map, I ask myself this every day. It ranges from straight forward places with horror and ghoul in the name, to a shop with just a ghosty logo or restaurant with a dark goth interior.
Before You Dive In
One person’s nightmare fuel is just old furniture and bad lighting to another, so remember, spooky is in the eye of the beholder. Explore the site to find what gives you chills, but be sure to check their websites or socials for the full vibe, current hours, and any special events. I do my best to keep things up to date, but places like these tend to have a little mystery built in.
