Video Store Nostalgia and Horror Movie Hunting
There’s something about aisles of movies and not knowing what you’re going to watch until you see “the one.” I grew up in the golden era of Blockbuster nights, so walking into Be Kind Video just tugs at the heart strings. This place feels so familiar, and has a lived-in video store feeling.
They carry a mix of VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray, and for those of us without a VCR at home (who knew the day would come when I would regret getting rid of mine), they actually rent those out too. I live about an hour away on a good traffic day, so I haven’t rented a tape myself yet, but they have a great selection for purchase and the prices are solid.
If you’re even a little nostalgic for physical media, this place is for you. Horror fans especially will love the collection mix, the posters, the Shining carpet, and just… gestures at everything.
