Killer Fitness just opened in Burbank, and it’s already a favorite. This place combines two things I love: spooky vibes and themed commitment. From the moment you walk in, it leans hard into the 80s slasher energy. The front half is a small store filled with horror-themed workout gear, including sports bras and bike shorts inspired by Freddy Krueger, scrunchies, branded merch, and everything you need for a proper 80s workout. For the perfect post-workout reward, they have horror-themed self-care items like body scrubs, knife-shaped lip glosses, and honestly so many other little things that are hard to resist.
In the back is a full-on workout space where they host classes ranging from yoga to their signature Slashercise, which includes chainsaws (not real ones, obviously) for killer arm workouts. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because they started as an at-home DVD workout years ago, and yes, they sell the DVD in stores if you want to train like a final girl in your own living room.
Super campy, and fully committed to the bit. Blood-spattered lockers, horror-inspired workout clothes, chainsaws in the weight room, they know exactly who they are and run with it. If Halloween is your favorite holiday and working out in a horror movie sounds like a dream, welcome to your new gym.
