Dripping Candles, Gothic Vibes, and Food to Die For

This place is incredible. The feel is dark, moody, and lit almost entirely from below. Tall candles drip wax down their holders. Stained glass windows, giving “midnight mass.” Religious statues are scattered throughout. It’s very dark gothic and is unique as it was created with a decommissioned Catholic church from Mexico.

We ordered the squash blossom (always a yes if it’s on the menu), the crab corn doughnut (small but worth it), and the crispy chicken tacos. Everything looked gorgeous, tasted even better, and I left wishing I had room for more.

Quixote is inside the Lafayette Hotel, which is stunning on its own. I didn’t have time to explore much beyond the restaurant, but the whole place is very retro-glam haunted hotel. If you go, try to carve our enough time to look around.
