A Spooky Little Bar Inside the Horseshoe
Creepy decor? Yes. Tasty alcoholic beverages? Check. A little speakeasy I didn’t get to visit? Also yes. Cabinet of Curiosities is a spooky little bar tucked toward the back of the Horseshoe Casino. If you’re making a spooky night of it, Twilight Zone Mini Golf is just downstairs.
I stopped by on a Thursday night around 10 pm. It wasn’t packed, but the crowd was clearly having a great time, and the bartenders were their biggest cheerleaders. Lots of singing, clinking glasses, and general jovialness. There are cozy chairs and couches behind the bar, so after ordering I found a spot to settle in with my drink and enjoy.
The spooky factor here comes through in the decor. Cabinets filled with bones, unsettling statues, and other oddities line the space. Each item is numbered, and if you’re curious you can scan a QR code that pulls up their catalog with extra details. For example, number 205, the Metal Flower Book End, reads: “Aunt Ophelia always liked violets. But nobody liked Aunt Ophelia, and this was on sale at the mortuary, so tulips it was.” I wish I’d had more time here, because they encourage you to open drawers and doors to uncover hidden curiosities. Definitely plan to give yourself time to explore.
A great little spooky stop right on the Strip and within walking distance of another creepy adventure. Absolutely check this place out.
